The Javan Trading Company was founded with the mission to bring high quality hardwood furniture sourced from sustainable timber stocks in south east Asia to the British consumer at affordable prices.  We believe that the consumer should have the opportunity to purchase high quality furniture without having to spend a fortune.

Started by Charles Skeffington in 2004 the company is going from strength to strength.  Charles did a degree in forestry and is passionate about great wood.  This enables him to source products that have a minimal impact on the environment and the world's rain forests. We undertook an extensive expedition and visited nine factories, five plantations, and four timber yards in Cambodia, Java, Borneo and Malaysia in our search to source products which met our rigorous criteria. 

Justin Wheeler joined the company at the end of 2007 and has extensive background in mail order having worked for companies like The White Company.

Our designs are stylish, practical and versatile to suit modern contemporary living. With clean lines our high quality compact pieces are designed to enhance your home.
